Sherwin Williams Partners With Reconciliation Outreach to Make a Difference in the Inner City
Sherwin Williams is bringing 150 volunteers from their company to paint youth facilities and residential housing for men and women who are in rehabilitation programs at Reconciliation Outreach.
Dallas, Texas (Reconciliation Outreach) January 27, 2009 -- Sherwin Williams is bringing 150 volunteers from their company to Reconciliation Outreach to paint the interiors of three residential facilities that house men and women who have life-controlling issues such as homelessness, and drug and alcohol addictions.
On January 27th, Sherwin Williams will bring 150 volunteers for the day, to paint housing and youth facilities for Reconciliation Outreach, located in East Dallas. The paint and supplies will be provided by Sherwin Williams and will benefit the programs that Reconciliation Outreach offers. These programs are providing children and teens with an alternative to gangs and street life, with goals to develop positive character traits and end the cycle of poverty and addiction for inner city youth. Reconciliation Outreach also provides a rehabilitative residential program designed for individuals and single mothers with life controlling problems of addiction, homelessness, criminal history and abuse, as well as affordable and transitional housing in a safe, livable environment.
When communities and businesses partner with ministries such as Reconciliation Outreach, the work they do can help change lives which in turn can change our city. "We are excited about partnering with Sherwin Williams. This project will help us continue our mission in the future ." said Leonard Brannon, Executive Director of Reconciliation Outreach.
